This is a remarkable find for collectors of fine barberiana and vintage grooming tools: a rare Gustave "La Cleopatre" straight razor, complete with its original presentation box from the prestigious Achille Dethoor establishment in Le Caire (Cairo).
The blade features an exquisite "La Cleopatre" etching and is crafted from the renowned Kayser Ellison & Co’s Best Sheffield Silver Steel, a hallmark of superior edge retention and shaving performance. The tang is stamped with the "Gustave" name and the serial number 5531, accented by decorative geometric file work.

The razor is set in beautiful cream-colored scales that remain in excellent condition. It comes housed in its original cardboard sleeve, which bears the label of Achille Dethoor, a noted "Coiffeur Parfumeur de la Cour Royale" (Barber Perfumer to the Royal Court).
